ProfileMuseum of Ice Cream is seeking a passionate Floor Manager,
Shop & Experience to lead a team of Service & Show Ambassadors in
delivering an unforgettable guest experience. In this role, you
will lead our Service & Show Ambassadors to drive an unparalleled
shop experience. You will role-model behaviors and strategies that
engage and promote the MOIC retail and shop items throughout the
guest experience. You will focus on retail management, sales
training, and inventory control, ensuring the operational
excellence and hospitality standards of MOIC are met and exceeded.
Your leadership will foster a collaborative and efficient
environment, enhancing both team performance and guest
satisfaction.Your Day-to-DayPeople Management
- Create Meaningful Connections: Encourage and guide team members
to create personal and memorable interactions with guests,
significantly enhancing the guest experience.
- Team Leadership: Provide decisive and supportive leadership
during shifts, swiftly address challenges, and ensure adherence to
operational standards.
- Training and Culture: Lead and participate in training sessions
and cultural initiatives to boost team performance and strengthen
team unity.
- Collaboration: Engage actively in weekly operational meetings,
offering valuable insights into retail and event
operations.Operational Excellence
- Brand Knowledge: Communicate understanding of company history,
museum design, and other ice cream facts
- Sales Training: Equip the team with effective sales techniques
and knowledge to drive sales performance and meet targets.
- Guest Engagement: Directly interact with guests to elevate
their experience and promote repeat visits.
- Safety and Compliance: Strictly enforce all safety, sanitation,
and compliance protocols, and conduct regular inspections to ensure
the shop adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Labor Compliance: Manage and monitor compliance with labor laws
related to timekeeping, wages, overtime, and breaks.Hospitality and
Service
- Floor Management: Oversee daily operations, resolve guest
issues promptly, and ensure a smooth workflow and high service
standards during service hours.
- Show Performance: Ensure all team members accurately follow
operational scripts and manuals.
- Event Management: Support and coordinate the planning and
execution of internal events and collaborate with the headquarters
events team on larger organizational events.
- Feedback Utilization: Collect and leverage guest feedback to
identify areas for experience and shop improvements and implement
quality enhancements.
- Inventory Management: Partner with the museum management team
and the supply chain team to maintain company standards of all MOIC
retail and inventory related functions.The Necessities:
- 2+ years experiential/museum based operational or experience
management OR food and beverage management experience OR shop and
inventory experience.
- 2+ years as a Lead or supervisory experience
- Ability to stand and walk on your feet for long periods of
time, up to 8 hours
- Ability to bend/lift heavy objects of up to 40 pounds
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced
environments.
- Experience with POS and inventory systems, Messaging Systems,
Google Suite, and ADP Time and Attendance.
- You have the following certifications: Food Handler / ServSafe
and TIPS (or equivalent alcohol training).The Nice-to-haves:
