Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $11,890 – $12,530 Setting: Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with 11 operating rooms (pediatric anesthesia, pediatric OR) Start Date: Between May and early July 2026 Duration: 13 weeks (locum tenens assignment) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts (7am–3pm or 7am–5pm); weekend shifts available as needed Shifts per Week / Hours: 5 shifts; 8 hours per shift; 40 hours/week Care Team Model: CRNA 2; MD 1 (medically directed supervision & independent cases) EMR: Epic Cross-Credentialing: Coverage across multiple affiliated sites within the Memorial Healthcare System Location Keywords: Hollywood, FL 33021; Broward County; South Florida; near Fort Lauderdale & Miami Minimum Requirements / Qualifications Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible candidates not accepted) Completed Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship (pediatric anesthesia fellowship) Minimum 2 years of pediatric anesthesiology clinical experience Active Florida medical license required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Locum eligibility: Must reside outside Broward, Palm Beach, and Dade counties and outside a 75-mile radius of the site Must not have worked for the facility or affiliated sites within the past 24 months Primary Responsibilities Provide perioperative anesthesia care for pediatric patients across general surgery, orthopedics, genitourinary, ENT, and dental cases (pediatric anesthesia cases) Manage a patient mix ranging from healthy to complex pediatric cases (approx. 60% sick, 40% healthy) Perform IV placement and regional anesthesia when comfortable; provide advanced airway management for pediatric patients Work both independently and in a medically directed supervision model (approximately 50/50) Collaborate closely with CRNAs, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiology colleagues, and multi-disciplinary pediatric care teams Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and follow institutional pediatric anesthesia protocols Participate in cross-credentialing and coverage across multiple affiliated Memorial Healthcare System sites Compensation & Benefits Highlights Competitive weekly locum pay reflecting high-demand pediatric anesthesiology coverage Access to high-volume pediatric cases for clinical growth in pediatric anesthesia Supportive anesthesia care team with CRNAs and pediatric specialists Apply now to be considered for this locum tenens pediatric anesthesiologist position in Hollywood, FL (33021).
