This position requires a versatile individual who can effectively
manage a variety of tasks, including administrative duties, legal
research, document preparation, and client communication. The ideal
candidate will be able to switch seamlessly between paralegal and
legal assistant roles, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
Responsibilities: Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and
organize meetings. Draft correspondence, proofread legal documents,
and prepare reports. Organize and maintain case files, client
records, and legal documents. Answer phones, respond to client
inquiries, and relay messages. Prepare and submit documents to
courts and other legal authorities. Prepare legal documents,
including pleadings, motions, and notices. Assist with all areas of
discovery, including written requests and document production.
Assist with filing legal documents with state and federal courts.
Ensure adherence to court-mandated guidelines. Communicate with
clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule
interviews, meetings, and depositions. Maintain open and clear
communication with clients and attorneys. Perform other duties as
assigned by the supervising attorney or law firm manager.
